Little do you humans know that we cats have had an "Infinite Cat Project" since the dawn of time. It is called "having furtive sex with each other", and the soundtrack to this oft-repeated event is the source for your humanoid word "caterwauling".
Or perhaps we humans are all too aware of you cats and your furtive sex practices. Isn't that why Bob Barker always ends The Price Is Right with a dire plea for us to spay every cat and dog with which we come in contact? Maybe The Infinite Cat Project is just another means through which we're seeking to control feline reproduction...
